PARK & RIDE TO BIG EVENTS ON OCT. 25-26

VIA Metropolitan Transit is offering Park & Ride service on Saturday, Oct. 25 and Sunday, Oct. 26 to help attendees get to events downtown next weekend.

VIA will offer FARE-FREE service across its entire system on Oct. 25, in celebration of Make A Difference Day, which encourages community service and acts of kindness. VIA is partnering with the City of San Antonio to thank its customers and encourage residents to explore the community and attend local events. Regular fares will resume on Oct. 26.

Park & Ride service will run between the locations below and the Robert Thompson Transit Station (183 Montana St., 78206):

Saturday Oct. 25

For Muertos Fest and the Paul McCartney concert, VIA will operate Park & Ride Event Service from the following locations:

Brooks Transit Center (3026 Sidney Brooks Drive, 78235)

Crossroads Park & Ride (151 Crossroads Blvd., 78201)

Frost Bank Center, Lots 6 & 7 (1 Frost Bank Center Drive, 78219)

Hours of Service:

Service will run to the events from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., with return service running continuously until midnight.

Park & Ride Event Service to Muertos Fest will operate from the following locations:

Brooks Transit Center (3026 Sidney Brooks Drive, 78235)

Crossroads Park & Ride (151 Crossroads Blvd., 78201)

Hours of Service:

Service to the event will run from noon to 7 p.m., with return service running continuously until 11 p.m.

Ways to Pay:

Attendees have several convenient ways to pay on Oct. 26. Passes can be purchased VIA Customer Service Centers or through the goMobile+ app. Cash and credit cards are accepted at the Park & Ride location.

Park & Ride customers park for free and pay just $2.60 for round-trip service, with reduced fares for students, military and others who qualify.
