Bus service will continue uninterrupted while repairs are made to pavement
Phase 1 of construction to repair the pavement at the Brooks Transit Center (7903 S. New Braunfels Ave., 78235) is scheduled to begin Dec. 1, 2025. Service at the transit center will remain uninterrupted, but the work will force the closure of the southwest entrance on Sidney Brooks Dr., which will affect buses entering and exiting the facility.
What’s Happening?
Due to the work, the three main boarding areas on the interior perimeter of the transit center building will be closed and temporary stops have been set up on the outer perimeter of the building to provide access to all the routes that serve the center. The temporary stops and routes are listed and can be seen in the map below.
Five routes will enter and exit off S. New Braunfels Ave., and three routes will use a temporary stop along Sidney Brooks Dr.
Where to Get Assistance
The customer information center will remain open during normal business hours (8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday) to assist riders. Passengers also can call the VIA goLine at (210) 362-2020 for help with trip planning or other questions.
