Ridership demand, COVID response are factors in adjustments set for January 2021
VIA Metropolitan Transit is hosting public meetings to receive comments on the proposed service revisions scheduled for implementation on January 11, 2021.
To comply with public health guidance regarding COVID-19, this meeting will be conducted as an audio/video conference pursuant to the Texas Open Meetings Act as temporarily modified and suspended by the Office of the Governor on March 16, 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and associated declarations of Emergency.

PROPOSED SERVICE CHANGES
Route 552 I-410/ W.W. White service will be modified to operate every 15 minutes from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m Monday through Friday. Route 552 I-410 / W.W. White. Route 552 I-410/W.W. White will maintain its 30-minute service at all other times.
Route 64 will no longer operate on detour.
Route 647 is being modified to accommodate a new turnaround.
Routes 44 and 524 will have minor schedule adjustments.
OTHER SERVICE CHANGES

The following routes are currently not operating:
• Joint Base San Antonio Routes 16 and 65
• VIVA Routes 11, 40, and 301
• Routes 7, 48, 54, 70, and 631
Extension Suspensions
The following extenions are currently not operating:
• 4 Blossom
• 25 Royal View
• 30 St. Hedwig
• 36 Elemendorf
• 42 Losoya
• 515 Walters
• 632 IDEA School

The public will have an opportunity to share comments during the online public meeting. Each individual will have up to 3 minutes to speak. Public comments may be submitted until Friday, October 16, and can be submitted in the following ways:
