VIA Metropolitan Transit is offering a hiring incentive of up to $4,000 for bus and paratransit van operators, and up to $6,000 for mechanics and CDL shop attendants, and has a program that makes VIA retirees eligible to qualify for the Employee Referral Program. VIA is hiring Bus Operators, Paratransit Van Operators, Mechanics, CDL Shop Attendants and Transit Security Officers. Some of these positions carry a hiring incentive. VIA’s starting pay for bus operators is $21.58 an hour and $23.76 an hour for mechanics.

Starting pay for bus operators is $21.58 per hour. Paid training is provided for new operator hires with classes starting weekly. No experience is necessary.
