VIA Metropolitan Transit invites the public to review and comment on proposed improvements to bus routes, frequencies, and service spans that would take effect January 11, 2027.
Public Hearing Date: Thursday, October 13, 2026 @ 5:30 p.m.

Comment Deadline: Friday, October 16, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
These changes are part of our ongoing Better Bus Plan and are designed to make your commute faster, more reliable, and more convenient based on rider feedback and ridership data.
Key proposals include:
Route | Proposed Service Change |
42 Roosevelt | Proposed realignment to continue on Roosevelt to serve Martinez-Losoya Rd and Leal Rd. Select morning, midday, and afternoon trips will be available. Service to Navistar (International Manufacturing) and TJ Maxx Distribution Center will be discontinued. |
619 Kel-Lac / Indian Creek / Port SA | Proposed realignment to travel from the Walmart on Quantum Loop, to Kel-Lac Transit Center, the Westside Health Center, and terminate at Port San Antonio. The realignment would meet the needs of the community by providing a faster and more direct route between their neighborhoods and the Kel-Lac Transit Center. The segments not served by route 619 are served by Primo 102 on SW Military Drive and Route 524 on Quintana Road and General Hudnell Drive. |
