Changes set for May 3, 2021 Include Improved Frequency on Multiple Routes

VIA Metropolitan Transit is hosting virtual public meetings to receive comments on the proposed service revisions scheduled for implementation on May 3, 2021.

To comply with public health guidance regarding COVID-19, this meeting will be conducted as an audio/video conference pursuant to the Texas Open Meetings Act as temporarily modified and suspended by the Office of the Governor on March 16, 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and associated declarations of Emergency.

PROPOSED SERVICE CHANGES

Route 651 Deco District / Castle Hills:  Improve frequency from 60 to 45 minutes mornings and evenings

Routes 502 Thousand Oaks and 602 North Star/Medical Center: Improve frequency from 60 to 30 minutes mornings and evenings.

Routes 10 Naco/Broadway and 51 Nogalitos: Improve frequency from 30 to 20 minutes mornings and evenings.

Routes 25 East Commerce and 75 West Commerce: Improve frequency from 20 to 15 minutes mornings and evenings.

OTHER SERVICE CHANGES

Route 25 East Commerce: Reimplement route extension to Royal View during peak hours
Route 632 Randolph/Ventura: Suspend extension to Walzem Idea Academy.
