VIA Metropolitan Transit is taking steps to maintain essential service levels while adjusting to meet the current demand with the labor and resources we have today.

Beginning October 25, 2021, VIA is proposing to introduce service changes designed to maintain service quality while adjusting to available staff levels. These changes are meant to be temporary and will primarily impact route frequency. Other service changes are planned due to construction and other external factors in the area.


We are doing our best to minimize any negative impact to our customers and appreciate their patience as we work through these issues and are working to address COVID and workforce conditions, including actively recruiting and training operators and mechanics. You can help get service back to full speed.
