Bus Service in the VIA Link South Zone will be retired beginning October 24, 2022, and replaced with VIA Link service—VIA’s on-demand transit option that offers shorter wait times and more flexibility for passengers.

On August 8, 2022, VIA launched its VIA Link South Zone to serve the area that includes Madla Transit Center, Palo Alto College, Texas A&M University- San Antonio, South San High School, South Park Mall, H-E-B, Toyota Motor Manufacturing and more.

Expansion of VIA Link service is part of VIA’s Keep SA Moving Plan. These scheduled route changes are part of VIA’s periodic service adjustments, designed to improve frequency and reliability for customers.

 524 General McMullen Frequent – To reduce rider wait times, the extension of Route 524 from Texas Vista Medical Center to Palo Alto College will be replaced with VIA Link service. 

672 Texas A&M University San Antonio / Madla Transit Center – To reduce rider wait times, Route 672 will be replaced with VIA Link service.
